Salve Regina students awarded Fulbright scholarships
Two students from Salve Regina University have received Fulbright awards for the 2024-25 academic year, and one student has been selected as an alternate. Kaelie Piscitello ('24) and John Rangel Marte ('23) have been selected for the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant program; Piscitello heading to Taiwan, and Marte heading to Spain. Cailin Martin '23 has been named an alternate for a Fulbright Study/Research award in the United Kingdom competition. The three Salve students were selected from thousands of applicants competing in the Fulbright U.S. Student competition for spots in 140 countries. Students from these countries likewise compete for Fulbright language teaching assistantships and study/research awards in the U.S.

Salve Regina University student Jacob Stolberg honored as Newman Civic Fellow
Jacob Stolberg has been named to the 2024-25 cohort of Newman Civic Fellows by Campus Compact, a national coalition of colleges and universities working to advance the public purposes of higher education. He will join student civic leaders from 38 states, Washington, D.C., and Mexico.

Salve Regina University Announces Dean's List for Fall 2023 Semester
The following students were named to the Dean's List during the fall 2023 academic semester at Salve Regina University. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must earn a semester grade point average of 3.6 for full-time students completing at least 12 graded credits, or a semester grade point average of 3.8 for part-time students completing at least six credits.

Heather McKee wins Student Paper Award at archaeological conference
Heather McKee of Churchton, Md., a senior at Salve Regina University, was selected for the Student Paper Award at the Eastern States Archaeological Federation Annual Meeting held Oct. 26-29 in Ocean City, Md. The regional conference brings together more than 150 professionals from the Northeast and beyond.

Salve students will make history performing on Broadway with 'Children of Eden' concert
For the first time in the history of Salve Regina's theatre program, students will be performing on Broadway in a concert production of "Children of Eden," a musical by the famed Stephen Schwartz, at the Lincoln Center in Feb. 2024. Salve's theatre program had performed the musical in spring 2023, and while it is a show written by Schwartz-who wrote famous musicals like "Wicked" and "Godspell"-"Children of Eden" itself has never been performed on Broadway until now.

Salve Regina University's Class of 2023 awarded diplomas during commencement
Salve Regina President Kelli Armstrong conferred 804 degrees in total during the ceremony, including 589 bachelor's degrees, 207 master's degrees and eight doctoral degrees. We congratulate all graduates on their accomplishments and offer our best wishes for success in the future!
